Теоретическим фундаментом общей системы химических элементов являются открытый Д.И. Менделеевым Периодический закон и разработанная Периодическая система химических элементов. На их основе осталось построить глобальную систему химических соединений. Для этого в монографии используется матричный способ описания совокупности известных веществ на базе всевозможных комбинаций химических элементов. Сформулированы начала новой области знаний — химико-математической логики (математической логики в химии). Для студентов и преподавателей, а также всех интересующихся вопросами химических соединений.

For the first time in chemistry, a method of describing the chemical behavior of substances with the help of abstract logical formulas of mathematical logic is given. The rules defining the hidden interrelation of chemical properties of substances are revealed.

The description of the system of chemical compounds includes a matrix method of describing the totality of known substances on the basis of all possible combinations of chemical elements of the Periodic system of D. I. Mendeleev. The matrix of chemical compounds of the second rank is presented, properties of binary compounds and algorithms of their transformations are described. A method of describing the chemical behavior of substances using mathematical logic formulas is proposed.
